Learn Linux.
Keep your bearings.
A Neovim-style workspace for your first Linux steps. Read a lesson, check your understanding, then explore a desktop — before installing anything.
Free Linux and Neovim lessons. No account required. Browser simulations, not a live Linux system.

Examples explain commands; they do not execute them.
Meet the desktop.
Before you install it.
Open apps, browse practice files, and try the terminal. Switch desktops to compare the same everyday tasks in a real interactive browser simulation.
GNOME · An overview-led desktop with focused workspaces.
Your practice desktop is ready to open.
Choose a desktop above, then start the demo. Its launcher opens a file manager, text editor, terminal, and settings. Nothing runs until you open it.
A simulation, not a Linux VM. The terminal supports pwd, ls, cd, cat, help, and clear. It does not install packages or access your computer’s files.
Your practice stays with this browser. Files and drafts are saved when storage is available, separately for each desktop. The app opens the same saved practice. Avoid sensitive information on shared devices.

What runs here.
What stays here.
Am I running real Linux here?
No. The desktop and filesystem are browser simulations for learning navigation and basic workflows. They are not a virtual machine or a full shell. Commands outside the listed set need a real Linux environment.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed for free lessons or desktop practice. Guest lesson progress lasts for the current app session. Register to save lesson progress to your account; desktop files remain browser-local, not account-synced.
Can I try this on my phone?
Yes. Lessons and desktop controls support touch. A larger screen gives you more room to compare windows, and a keyboard makes command practice easier.
Will this change my computer?
The simulation does not install an operating system or modify your computer’s files. It saves practice data in browser storage when available. Use sample text rather than private files or credentials.
