Your learning data

This notice describes the hosted PenguinPath learning preview, operated by NusaByte IT Solutions (nusabyte.my). The operator controls this installation's database, hosting, backups, and access to records. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@nusabyte.my.

What is stored

• Account email, a password hash rather than your plaintext password, and account timestamps.
• Your chosen display name, distribution family, desktop preference, completed lessons, and earned XP.
• Session records and necessary authentication rate-limit records, which can include the account email.
• When billing is configured: Stripe customer, subscription, and payment-event identifiers and entitlement status.

Why the application uses it

These records allow sign-in, saved learning progress, profile preferences, abuse prevention, and access checks for paid lessons. The application stores this information in the installation's PostgreSQL database.

Cookies and guest practice

Sign-in uses an HTTP-only session cookie. Signing out revokes the session. Guest lesson progress stays in browser memory and is not saved as account progress. Setup-finder answers are stored in sessionStorage for this browser tab and can be reset using Restart with defaults. A submitted knowledge answer is sent to the application server for grading. This application does not include advertising cookies or a third-party analytics integration.

Desktop practice files, unfinished drafts, window layouts, settings, terminal output and command history, last-read file evidence, and practice checks are stored in localStorage on this browser, separately for each desktop. They survive reloads and sign-out but are not synced to your account. Anyone using the same browser profile can access them. Reset a desktop to clear its practice, or clear this site's browser data to remove all local practice. Downloads contain your current note or desktop snapshot, including unsaved text and command history; protect or delete those files separately. Do not enter sensitive information. The daily learning goal also uses localStorage.

External services

Fonts are served by this application, not fetched by your browser from a font CDN. If the operator enables Stripe, checkout sends you to Stripe, which processes payment information under its own privacy policy. Hosting providers and reverse proxies may separately retain access logs according to the operator's configuration.

Retention and your choices

Account and progress records remain until removed on request at hello@nusabyte.my. Backups may retain earlier copies without a guaranteed deletion cutoff. There is no self-service account deletion or account export screen yet. Free guest lesson progress lasts for the current visit; desktop practice remains on this browser until reset or browser data clearing.

Do not enter sensitive personal information into the training exercises.
